Abstract(in English) Recently, it is required to develop a WBT-CAI system to be able to learn efficiently due to the spread of Internet. However, since the order of giving a chain of text frame and/or decision does not change, if ever the learner solves the given problems, the learner can not learn efficiently. Therefore, the authors propose a new student model which improved the existent overlay model. The new model is easy to create the teaching materials, and it is able to grasp the situation of a learner's understanding in detail. This paper clarifies how this system grasp the situation of a learner's understanding and what kind of instruction logic is deployed through showing a concrete example of the instruction logic. By the way, the authors facilitate to provide the teaching materials according to the instruction logic through employing a rule-base CAI system.
