Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is to design a learning environment for "Bulletin Board Literacy". "Bulletin Board Literacy" is the ability to understand information on Bulletin Boards critically and to create shared knowledge and values while participating in communication among participants. The authors believe that making learners understand the "dark side of on-line communication" is the foundation on which the education for productive usage of Bulletin Boards is based. For that purpose, the authors designed an education course for junior high school students in which they can learn how to cope with "Arashi articles", aggressive and annoying articles, through communication with supporters outside of the school who volunteer to write "Arashi articles" intentionally. The challenge of the design was keeping balance between the authenticity of the experience and the safety of the students. This paper reports design details of the course and the result of experimental practice carried out in the class of "Technical Arts and Home Economics Education" in a junior high school.
