Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Japanese learning is difficult for even Chinese native speakers who have Kanji knowledge about the characters and the meanings. The difficulty of Kanji learning for Chinese students is different from that for non-Kanji area students. It is import for Chinese students to learn Kanji focusing on the reading of Kanji compound, differences in meaning, pronunciation, and so on, because of the following reasons: Japanese is influenced by Chinese, Kanji has two or more readings, and several Kanji have different characters (Ijitai in Japanese). In this research, we develop a compound database which stores reading, and Katakana word meaning and so on in order to implement Japanese learning systems for Chinese native speakers. In addition, we describe a Japanese learning system for supporting learning of reading and pronunciation of Kanji, and meaning of Kanji compounds for Chinese native speakers.
