Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An E-field measurement system is constructed to estimate the electromagnetic characteristics around a mobile base station. The transmission power level emitted from a mobile base station changes according to the amount of traffic in the area of mobile base station. The E-field strength also changes depending on the traffic. This measurement system utilizes a parameter of a PDC system or IMT-2000 system base station to measure the E-field strength of a common channel. The common channel power maintains a constant output independent on the amount of traffic. The maximum E-field strength is calculated based on the measured E-field strength and the ratio of the channel output power to the maximum output power of the base station. This paper presents the results of E-filed measurement in an environment with a multi-band mobile base station. Additionally, this paper shows that the obtained power density value is less than the guideline for exposure to RF EMF at the maximum traffic conditions.
