Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, the possibility of a plaster board type wave absorber to be used for wireless LAN (Local Area Network) in the range of 2.45GHz and 5.2GHz is studied. Furthermore, the influence of indoor humidity change on the resistant paper and absorption of a plaster board has also been analyzed experimentally. In a model room where four sides are set up with the investigated absorber, the data-transfer speed of the wireless LAN is measured where the improvement in the speed after set up of the absorber has been noted. As a result, absorption of about 10∿25dB for each frequency band are confirmed in the case of normal and oblique incidence experimentally. The change of about 2∿3dB is checked for the change of indoor normal humidity, when it used the absorber which has the absorption of about 20dB. In addition, the affective improvement in both Up-and Down-speed before and after setting up the wave absorber turns out to be around 57% and 7.4% in IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11a, respectively.
