Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With the rapid expansion of ADSL, FTTH, and other fast connection services, an increasing number of access lines are now able to support broadband delivery. In order to comfortably accommodate such mass content streams as high-quality video, it is necessity to reduce the traffic load on distribution servers and transit trunks. One solution is the Content Delivery Network (CDN), a distributed approach in which contents are deployed in advance on a distributed network of mirror servers, and contents are then delivered to the end user from the nearest server. For supporting the smooth operation of the CDN, it is important to represent interactions between users and their environments. In this paper, we apply a multi agent system approach to represent the interactions and evaluate performance of the CDN systems.
