Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the Ubiquitous networking in which the information network can be used anytime and anywhere is expected for the networking of the society, using the advanced radio technology. Therefore, the ad hoc network (MANET) is paid attention. Because the ad hoc network has no base station and is able to communicate with each terminal in multihop way. However, AODV being standardized by RFC (Request For Comment) does not adequate for the transmission of real time media because of the selection of the shortest route based on the number of hops. Here, we propose Long-life Route Acquisition Routing for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. In this routing protocol, the longest lifetime route is selected. Therefore, the selection of the stable route demanded of real time media especially becomes possible. We show numerically the validity of long-life route acquisition routing by computer simulation.
