Abstract(in English) With the rapid increase of the traffic demand in the Internet, it is necessary to provide a priority control mechanism in the Internet router in order to realize transmission suitable for various attributes of multimedia traffic. So far, we have proposed and implemented the output buffer control mechanism by flow management. In this paper, the scheduling mechanism which enables the fixed bandwidth allocation is introduced. In addition, the switch equipped with this control mechanism is designed and carried out trial production, and the prototype switch is experimentally evaluated assuming the real network environment.
