Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Grid topology MAN is commonly constructed in metropolitan areas. Spiral spanning tree is fit for a grid topology MAN to establish a robust logical network from the viewpoint of restoration. In order to manage the multi-layered grid topology MAN, it is necessary to compare link failure impact, robustness, and redundancy. In this paper, a mathematical index using hexadecimal number is proposed to describe spanning tree and its effectiveness.
