Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The proposed QMLS protocol focusing on allowable delay provides quality of service for live streaming by relay nodes placed along the multicast tree. The relay nodes detect a loss and retransmit the data. However, checking the sequence number for loss detection and changing the sequence number for avoiding duplicate nacks in relay node increase process delay. The relay nodes should be placed efficiently in view of application layer loss and packet delay. This paper describes adaptive loss recovery multicast protocol that each router decides to start and stop relay by autonomous decision based on packet loss rate. Simulation result comparing to the model which all routers are relay nodes show the effectiveness of this method.
