Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) UDP used by real-time communications can transmit data at arbitrary transmitting rate without depending on congestion situation of network. Therefore, when TCP and UDP are communicated in the same time, it is apprehensive that the communication quality of TCP may be quite suffered by the rate control. Then, in order to realize the fairness of TCP, TFRC (TCP Friendly Rate Control) is proposed. However, even with this system, loss of packets is caused by timeout, too much bandwidth is consumed, and much throughput fluctuation is produced. In order to solve these problems, this paper improves the throughput equation of TFRC to aim for CBR communications. Then, some simulation experiments show the validity of the proposal.
