Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | MPλS (Multi-Protocol Lambda Switching) can provide connection oriented capability for IP over WDM networks. OBS (Optical Burst Switching) has been developed for MPλS based networks to further simplify optical path routing. As for path failure restoration, DC (Diversity Coding) has been proposed to meet the request for faster and simpler failure recovery in connection oriented networks. This paper proposes an optical DC system for MPλS based network using OBS technology. The proposed system applies parallel coding constructed across the wavelength paths. The authors present the basic concept and give a detail of the mechanism in the routers. |
