Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The characteristic of 1^ phase transition has been applied to record and erase data marks in optical phase-change recording such as CD-RW, DVD-RAM and DVD-RW. However, it has been gradually understood through the study of super-resolution near-field structure (super-RENS) that 2^ phase transition, which is induced in between one crystal phase and another, probably has the potential of future technology to resolute small marks beyond the diffraction limit. In this report, we discuss the phenomena of super-RENS in combination with ferroelectric catastrophe and Peierls distortion.
