Abstract(in English) | In order to correct errors caused by HDD effectively, we compare the performance of efficient error correcting codes on algebraic curves such as Hermitian codes over GF(2^8), elliptic codes over GF(2^9) and Fermat codes over GF(2^<10>) with that of conventional RS codes. Moreover, we propose decoding algorithms such as parallel decoding using 2 dimensional systolic array and serial decoding without unknown syndrome determination. |
