Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Patterned regularly aligned nano-dots of FePtCu will possibly generate magnetic storage media which has density of 1Tbpsi or moreover. We demonstrated fabrication of highly dense FePtCu dot arrays using block copolymer template. Guided self-assembly of block copolymer by groove structure successfully generate circumferentially aligned dot structure. After etching, increase of Hc in out-of-plane direction and decrease in in-plane direction were observed. This suggests that magnetic shape anisotropy increased by change of the shape from plane film to columnar dots. Applicability of this fabrication method to 1Tbpsi dot density were also investigated. FePt nano dot arrays of 30 nm dot pitch and 15nm dot diameter were successfully fabricated. This implies our methods will possibly applicable to fabrication of 1Tbpsi or nloreover high density dot arrays of magnetic media.
