Abstract(in English) The electronic and spin states of the perpendicular magnetization films such as multilayered film of Co/Pd and TbFeCo were measured by means of soft X-ray absorption and magnetic circular dichroism spectroscopy (XAS-MCD). The core-level absorption spectroscopy gives us the information on the unoccupied electronic and spin states of individual atoms in materials. We show that the ability of XAS-MCD spectroscopy to study the perpendicular magnetization films.
