Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To produce a hologram for a real object, it is necessary to project coherent laser beam to an object; this requirement restricts the shooting arrangement in electronic holography. By using integral photography (IP), a hologram can be created from a reconstructed IP image, enabling us to electronically display a 3-D image of an object photographed under natural light. This paper proposes a method that employs FFT in calculating optical transmission during hologram shooting, which requires less calculation load than the conventional method based on the Fresnel diffraction. In an experiment, we used the proposed method to produce a hologram from an IP image of an object photographed under natural light. We then used a liquid crystal device to optically reconstruct a 3-D image of the object, and verified the effectiveness of the method.
