Abstract(in English) Authors presents the digital beam forming (DBF) array antenna for a Ka-band (20/30GHz-band) land mobile satellite communication system. The Rx antenna consists of 64 elements, LNAs, 3-stage D/Cs and A/Ds. The Tx antenna consists of 64 elements, HPAs, 3-stage U/Cs and D/As. Each element antenna is a rectangular waveguide aperture and is arranged on the regular triangular lattice of 0.61λ. The Rx digital block uses parallel DSP/FPGA architecture and synthesizes the main beam and the null beam using the beam-space maximal ratio combining (BS-MRC) algorithm or the beam-space constant modulus algorithm (BS-CMA). The Tx digital block determines the same aperture distribution as that of the Rx antenna. Authors also presents the beam forming characteristics and the DBF verification experiment using the real satellite.
