Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Longitudinal and shear wave velocities of the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plate under the tensile stress were observed by a Brillouin scattering method. We have estimated the 3rd-order elastic constants (TOEs) from experimental results. The estimated values were similar to the values of other polymeric materials (PC, PS), estimated by several methods.
