Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Previously, we proposed to reconstruct thermal properties of living tissues such as thermal conductivity, capacity, and diffusivity in addition to mechanical properties for diagnosis and treatment (planning). Temperature distribution can be measured by ultrasonic imaging or MRI. Provided that the reference value of thermal conductivity is given in the ROI as initial conditions, by solving the simultaneous first order partial differential equations (PDEs) having the temperature distributions as inhomogeneous coefficients, we can determine the thermal property distributions. The feasibility of the technique is verified through simulations and phantom experiments.
