Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The dynamics of the fundamental and the second harmonic of a nonlinear surface acoustic wave (NLSAW), which was formed by Interdigital Transducer on a LiNbO_3 substrate, were studied from a point of view of a system dynamics. The full width of half maximum (FWHM) of the second harmonic was about half of that of the fundamental. The rise time was shorter than the fall time. The envelope profile of the second harmonic closely resembled an envelope profile simulated by K-dV equation. The velocity of the second harmonic of the NLSAW was approximately equal to the theoretical sound velocity of the sample.
