Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We experimentally investigated the acoustic characteristics that resulted, inside and outside the hole open at both ends, when intensive aerial convergence ultrasonic waves (frequency : 19.65 kHz ; wavelength : 17.6 mm) entered the linear hole with a diameter smaller than the wavelength of the acoustic wave. Each hole used in the experiment had a rectangular cross section of 5mm width, and a rigid plane was placed in the neighborhood of the opening of the hole. The distribution of sound pressure occurred inside each hole was measured by a probe microphone composed of a probe tube of 25mm length and 1.0 mm diameter. In addition, the standing wave ratio of formed sound pressure distribution was investigated. From above investigation, the optimum condition of the length of the hole for producing the high intensity sound field on the rigid plane was obtained.
