Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A biomagnetic measurement system on mice using a dc superconducting quantum interference device magnetometer has been developed. We are going to use it for comparative magnetocardiogram (MCG) studies of disease-model mice, which are generated by gene modification or drug inducement, to clarify the mechanism of disease development in a living body. We measured MCG on wild-type and aconitine-induced arrhythmia model mice. The difference in the spatial distribution and the time course of MCG signals between regular sinus rhythm and arrhythmia was clearly evaluated. The result suggested that the presented system would be capable for the screening of cardiac excitation on mice in good spatial and time resolution.
