Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The UWB-IR technology has attracted interest for high speed radio communications of next generation. However, the performance is degraded by pulse shape distortion owing to hardware imperfection and multi-path. Delay spread which is wider than the transmitted symbol interval causes ISI. In this paper, we propose rejection of ISI with a filter based on the MMSE criterion. Then, we show performance improvement with multiple filters. Also, we propose application of the filter to MIMO environments because the filter can surpress not only ISI but also CCI. We show the effectiveness of these methods using computer simulations. According to the simulation results, we show that it is better to use some combining MMSE filters rather than to increase the tap number in order to exploit the power of delay wave.
