Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multihop transmission is a key enabling technology for radio networks such as multihop cellular systems and mesh networks. One of the advantages of multihop transmission over single-hop transmission is a larger communication range due to more received power per hop. Meanwhile, symbol rate control has the ability to decrease the required CIR in multi-cell cellular systems. We evaluate the outage probability and spectral efficiency of multihop transmission and rate adaptation in multi-cell cellular systems taking account of the effect of shadowing. We also evaluate the performance of adaptive route selection in multihop cellular systems.
