Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we apply a novel DS/SS system using feedback-controlled spreading sequences (FCSS-DS system) to time-dispersive channels. In the COF (code-orthogonalizing filter) used in the receiver of the FCSS-DS system, spreading sequences are generated to suppress interference due to channel delay spread and to obtain a path-combining gain through the channel. The receiver returns feedback on spreading sequence to the transmitter, and the transmitter uses the feedback to update a spreading sequence. First, bit-error rate (BER) performance of the FCSS-DS system is evaluated in comparison with the conventional DS/SS systems with/without the RAKE combining over 2-path and power-line channels. Influence of quantizing error is also evaluated with respect to BER, and finally, multiple access performance is shown.
