Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have implemented the systems which support informal communications making use of the metaphor of a door; we call such communications "on-door communications." This paper reports on our findings from the use of some of those systems and discuss the security issues required by them. For instance, our under-the-door communication system were designed for a secure submission under the door such as the one for a student to submit a report, however, we found it useful for a secure information exchange among a group of people. Another system, the on-door knock system has been applied for supporting disabled people. We found that such communications would need public doors instead of private doors.
