Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have considered a self-tuning technique of a fault-tolerant adaptive routing algorithm for highly parallel computer networks. Network saturation degrades communication performance especially on large-scale networks. Non-minimal routing distributes network loads, and hence it contributes improvement of overall throughput. Our preliminary experiments showed there is a trade-off between the maintenance of communication performance and the number of drainage packets during a dynamic network reconfiguration process. We propose a method that uses a deadlock detection function for self-tuning of the network. This paper describes the idea based on a Detour-UD routing algorithm that was proposed in our laboratory.
