Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Convolutional compactors offer a promising technique of compacting test responses that include unknown values. In this work, we theoretically analyze the probability that an error is masked by unknown values, or X-masking probability. First, we apply tree search algorithm to derive the X-masking probability under the given arrangement of the convolutional compactors. We then present an approximated calculation scheme for X-masking probability toward enabling calculation for larger arrangements. Numerical examples show that calculation results obtained by tree-search-based analysis are about the same as those obtained by Monte-Carlo simulations. We also found that X-masking probability increases as compression ratio of the convolutional compactors increases, and that the approximated calculation fits effectively in simulation results when unknown values appear frequently.
