Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The IP network brings the diversity of communication methods in firefighting network to the reality. The existing FiReCOS system developed by the Firefighting Research Institute is based on the PHS system and realizes the communication of multi-points to multi-points. However, due to using the central controlling method, this system is very limited to its troubleshooting capabilities for those closed-circuit controlling devices, and cannot deal with some problems such as video as well. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a fully distributed wireless communication system for the firefighting rescue network. Based on the adhoc network methodology, this paper compared and discussed the key technologies to build a wireless communication system for firefighting network, and proposed a new clustering method which is suitable in the firefighting scenario. The result is evaluated by Network Simulator2 shows good improvement in performance.
