Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have had the native speakers of Japanese Sign Language (JSL), children of deaf adults, and the hearing (including JSL-Japanese interpreters and JSL learners) do acceptability judgment on new signs listed in New Signs published by Japanese Federation of the Deaf. This paper has discussed the results of the judgment by the native speakers of JSL and the JSL interpreters. We have found that there is a statistically significant difference between the results of the acceptability judgment.
