Design and Evaluation of Japanese Sign Animation for X-ray Inspection of Stomuch of Hearing-Impaired People

Abstract(in English) The purpose of this paper is to improve comprehensibility of JSL (Japanese Sign Language) animation developed by us for hearing-impaired people in stomach inspection by X-ray. After analysis some problems on our previous JSL animation, we developed and evaluate new sing animation to overcome the problems. Thirty-two deaf subjects participated to the rating test of the comprehensibility. Result shows that total comprehensibility of new sign animation was slightly higher than that of previous animation.
