Fundamental Study on Influence of Transmission Delay by Sign Video Communication

Abstract(in English) Sign language video communication has been researched because there have been problems of the quality and the frame rate of the picture transmission. However, we should consider the delay of the picture transmission of the conversation. In this report, we discuss the effect of transmission delay on video communication. We have experimented by using a video delay system to be able to transmit the delay image of 255 frames or less. We experimented with the system. We analyzed the conversation of the delay of each task. It was shown that the influence of the delay was different according to the conversation task. Finally, we describe the result.
