Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Stenocaptionists can assist, from a remote place, in the delivery of lectures to deaf and hard-of-hearing students by inputting lecturers' notes at real-time into a computer using a special keyboard. The notes are instantaneously displayed for the students on a PC monitor where the lecture is held. We tried to use such a system for a lecture on Information Science. We found that images of the lecturer provided the most useful information for the stenocaptionists.
