| 抄録(和) | 近年, 聴覚障害者の社会進出に伴い, 学会などへの参加者数も増加してきているが, 十分な情報保障の環境が整備されているとは言い難い.我々は, テレビ会議システムを使い, 遠隔地から手話通訳や字幕提示などの情報保障を行う遠隔地情報支援システムの開発を進めている.このシステムでは, 手話通訳者などの前方に会場の映像(発表者の映像と聴衆の映像)とともに専門用語などのキーワードも提示することで, 学会など専門性の高い場面での情報保障にも対応出来るようにしている.今回, 第3回情報科学技術フォーラム(FIT2004)において, 学会への情報保障を実施した.本稿では, FIT2004で運用したシステムの概要とその運用結果, 現状での課題について報告する. |
| 抄録(英) | It is difficult for the hearing impaired to take communication support service at a conference, because of lack of high- level operators, which are sign language interpreters and real-time captioning operators. Video interpreting makes use of videoconferencing technology to allow remote communication support service to occur without operators on site. Our approach uses dual-video transmission which gives operators full view of the remote place. For example, the operators can see the face of a speaker giving a presentation and the face of the audience with hearing impairments at the same time. In order that operators might enable to understand the contents of presentation, keywords of presentation also are shown to operators. In this paper, we describe our experimental system for the remote communication support service at the Forum on Information Technology 2004 (FIT2004). |
