Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Presentations are an important means of information transmission in modern society and electronic media are generally used. This has become a new barrier for people with severe visual impairment. We conducted a survey to gather information about the conditions of the visually impaired in connection with giving presentations. We found that although some severely visually-impaired people are using the PC for presentations, difficulties, i.e., insufficiency of access tools, (e.g., Braille output, speech output etc.), still exist for those who would like to independently prepare and give a presentation and sighted assistance is sometimes still required.
