| 抄録(和) | 二種類の刺激それぞれに対応した正しい行動選択に、異なる報酬を与えることで学習が促進されるDifferential Outcomes Effect (DOE)は、動物でもヒトでも報告されている。DOEは刺激→報酬期待および報酬期待→行動の二段階の行動選択過程を含む。前頭前野内側部の神経細胞の多くは、この二段階のそれぞれに対応した活動を示し、前頭前野内側部がDOEに中心的な役割を果たすことが示唆される。この二段階の行動選択過程を利用するよう工夫することで認知課題の遂行を高めることが可能であろう。一方、その二段階過程に障害が及ぶと考えられるパーキンソン病や統合失調症にはDOEの有効利用は難しいと思われる。 |
| 抄録(英) | The Differential Outcomes Effect (facilitative effect on discrimination learning when each of two discriminative stimuli is correlated with a particular outcome) occurs with human and non-human subjects' learning. DOE includes two steps of action selection processes, stimulus to reward expectation and reward expectation to action. Many medial prefrontal neurons represented either the former step or the latter one. It suggests that the medial prefrontal cortex plays a crucial role in DOE. Utilization of the two-step processes may enhance performance in cognitive tasks for patients with mental retardation except Parkinsonism or schizophrenia in those the DOE critical steps may be impaired. |
