Abstract(in English) Recently, the analysis of radiation characteristics of a patch antenna mounted on a vehicle is needed with the advance of car communication. The radiation characteristics of patch antenna for a vehicle have been conventionally analyzed without considering the surrounding object. However, the radiation characteristics of a patch antenna for a vehicle may be changed by considering the shape of vehicle, the human body, the ground and so on. In this study, radiation characteristics of a patch antenna mounted on a vehicle at the frequency band of GPS in consideration of the shape of vehicle, the human body and the ground were analyzed using the FDTD method. The directivity analysis has been carried out using the equivalence theorem considering the reflected waves from the ground.
