Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A wireless repeater using ROF technology is proposed. A feature of the repeater is that it operates without electric power supply. Key technologies are impedance matching between RF circuits and O/E devices, optical amplifier, and optical power transmission. Experiments were carried out at 2.45 GHz band. O/E device insertion loss was reduced around 6.8 dB by impedance matching. Electric power of 26.5 mW was obtained at the base station. By using low noise amplifier, no degradation was observed for up link transmission. As for down link, RF output power at the base station was limited about -15 dBm due to the photo diode capability. Increase of the RF output power is further study.
