Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | One of the major advantages of block transmission schemes with CP (cyclic prefix), such as OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) scheme, and SC-CP (Single Carrier block transmission with Cyclic Prefix) scheme, is their capability of efficient equalization by using low complexity frequency domain equalizer in frequency selective fading channels. As one of the frequency domain equalization (FDE) methods, the FSE (Fractionally Spaced Equalization) scheme based on ZF (zero forcing) criterion, has been proposed by Vaidyanathan et al. in a case where over sampling ratio is 2. Over sampling at the receiver yields a certain freedom in choosing the equalizer weights, and the freedom is then exploited to minimize the power of additive noise at the equalizer output. In this paper, we apply the method in the general oversampling ratio cases, and derive optimal one-tap ZF equalizer weights. Also, we propose optimum weights of the FSE based on MMSE (Minimum Mean-Square-Error) criterion. In addition, the bit error rate (BER) performaces of the proposed methods are evaluated by computer simulations in practical enviroments with band limited channels. |
