Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a signal processing technique for blindly separating multiple sources which have been transmitted using multiple transmit and receive antennas. In the proposed method, each source is pre-filtered using a unique filter, which we refer to as the Transmit Tagging Filter (TT-Filter). At the receiver, an inverse model of the TT-Filters is used to blindly equalize a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) channel, and retrieve desired signals without any permutation of the originally transmitted signals. Thus, the proposed method solves the problem in the conventional blind method, where permutation of transmitted signals is known to be associated with blind MIMO equalization. Furthermore, by incorporating the well known differential modulation technique, we achieve a totally blind MIMO equalization algorithm. Computer simulation with constant modulus sources verifies the effectiveness of the proposed system and algorithm in achieving blind equalization.
