Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Much attention has been paid to integrated services of mobile phones and home devices on home networks. Toward ubiquitous network environments, we have been investigating peer-to-peer networking technologies, which can realize seamless communication between various devices such as PCs, mobile phones and home devices, across various networks such as the Internet, mobile networks and home networks. In this talk, we will give the brief overview of a generic peer-to-peer networking platform, which we are currently developing. Various peer-to-peer applications can be implemented over our platform. And then we will discuss the prototype system which enables a mobile phone to seamlessly control home devices on home networks, as an application of our peer-to-peer networking platform.
