Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We developed and implemented MIS system for high speed mobile communications using wireless LAN and MobileIP. There is a problem which a connection is blocked when handover occured using MobileIP on wireless LAN. This is caused by a latency of handover. We describe a new method which is combined MIS system and PDMA (Packet Division Multiple Access), to solve the problem by implementing make-before-break handover. MIS system can reduce the time to make a connection between a mobile node and a access point. PDMA is a new communication multiplexing method suitable for seamless handover and packet exchange.
