Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The service of terrestrial digital broadcasting started, and it expanded the possibility of indoor reception. We have applied directivity diversity (reactance diversity) using ESPAR antenna to reception of terrestrial digital broadcasting. In this paper, we present the computer simulation result of broadening the bandwidth of the 3-element planar ESPAR antenna using parasitic elements with multiple varactor diodes. The variable capacity of varactor diodes are used not only to change the radiation patterns but also to control the bandwidth, and as a result, the effect of the diversity can be achieved in wide Frequency bandwidth.
