Abstract(in English) As Broadband network becomes widely available, the call for video streaming services is getting evident. Although IP multicast is one efficient technology to provide streaming services, wide spread of IP multicast may not be achievable due to the need for upgrading routers. As an alternative to IP multicast, application level multicast (ALM) is collecting interest. One of the ALM problems is node departure affecting downstream nodes. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to improve our previous work [1] which utilizes scalable video coding to avoid stream disruption, analyzes its performance.
