Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper considers a queueing model with a finite buffer, which is fed by an input process mathematically described by Discrete AutoRegressive model of order 1 (DAR(1)). DAR(1) has been attracting an attention as a good candidate to model video streaming traffic of burst nature. This paper provides a procedure to compute the distributions of the first passage times to overflow and underflow for any given initial state. The results in this paper can be applied to designing the playout buffer size and playout time.
