Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an adaptive control method of delayed transmission for massive and intensive telecommunication traffic expected in communication-broadcasting integrated services. It furthermore presents quantitative evaluation of the proposed method through computer simulation. Communication-broadcasting integrated services which have been just provided by the terrestrial digital broadcasting, such as sending an answer to a quiz or questionnaire, or requesting complementary information of a program via communication networks, give rise to the massive and intensive traffic induced by a TV program. Moreover, in years to come, the broadcasting area of terrestrial digital TV will expand and mobile receivers will be widely used, increasing the massive and intensive traffic significantly enough to cause severe congestion in communication networks. The proposed method adaptively delays data transmissions from viewers depending on the congestion state of communication networks so that the traffic load can be smoothed. The quantitative evaluation demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method.
