Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) WDM optical networks represent the direction to the future high capacity access network applications. Here, we investigate a single-hop WDM star network. It is based on a passive star-coupled configuration. In this paper, we investigate the influence of long tuning latency on the performance of one slow tunable transmitter and multiple fixed receivers architecture. Assuming the existence of traffic pattern in certain time period, two heuristic dynamic channel allocation algorithms based on distributed traffic analysis are proposed. To investigate the performance, evaluation through simulations is done in terms of network throughput and packet delay. It is shown that the proposals are efficient to optimize the wavelength channel utilization.
