Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose RING (Reusing Infrastructure for Network Games) system for solving reusing problem of MOG (multiplayer online games). RING can switch the network architecture of MOG from client-server to peer-to-peer using packet capturing and peer-to-peer management infrastructure. We have implemented a prototype of RING and it has realized the conversion to peer-to-peer network architecture from QUAKE2 client-server mode without modifying the QUAKE2 binary.
