Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, ad hoc networks have been receiving much attention in which mobile stations constitute temporary networks by autonomous distributed control. On low-quality ad hoc networks, the increase of the number of hops causes high transmission delay. Futhermore, in many-to-many communications, the delay influences every node in a multicast tree. This paper proposes a multicast-tree construction method that is suitable for many-to-many communications in ad hoc networks. Our method reduces the number of hops between every node pair. The results obtained by computer simulation show that the proposed method constructs the multicast tree with the samll number of the hops compared with a conventional one.
